Gallery (Close up)Green is the new Black
Henry Ford famously said "You can have any colour you like - so long as it's black".
That used to apply to licensed taxis too, but now of course you see cabs sporting a dazzling range of technicolour advertising liveries.
Regardless of their colourful graphics however, taxis provide a green alternative to the private car.
As if to prove the point, just this week we were delighted to hear that Taxi Promotions advertiser, Threadneedle, the international asset manager based in London, have received two accolades for its contribution to environmental practices; the ISO 14001:2004 certification and a Gold Award Special Commendation for The Clean City Awards Scheme 2007.
No wonder then, that Threadneedle are such committed fans of taxi advertising.
They have just renewed their campaign and now have almost 600 superside taxis advertising their brand in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Edinburgh.
The powerful graphics integrate perfectly with their wider cross-platform media campaigns and help to reinforce their environmental credentials too - even if green doesn't feature in the graphics!
