The Malaysian Tourist Board in London values the strategic direction provided by their counterparts and agencies back home, but when all the planning has been done, it's often better to take control "in-market" and organize things from the UK.
The new fleet comprises of 60 fully liveried taxis, each promoting one of four tactical messages; nature, luxury, beaches and culture. The 60 taxis were fitted with full colour vinyl wraps, by our own technicians using special heat guns and application techniques. As well as using the fleet in the traditional way "to highlight brand Malaysia on the streets" the latest campaign has been designed to compliment the marketing needs of Malaysian tour operators, travel partners and restaurants. They will be able to use the taxis to enhance their PR, by arranging personal appearances from the fleet at special events and chauffering VIPs and customers around town.
Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Adnan Tengku Mansor said London's public transport was the wisest choice for the promotional drive as it was widely used, hence, allowing a wider-targeted audience.
